The Race – 24 hours, 250 km on a wet and windy March 7th 2014 over 60 athletes took to the hills of Donegal . The Race is a 250 km unsupported endurance event across the rugged landscape of North West Donegal. To finish competitors have to complete 15km of kayaking (this section was omitted on the day due to adverse weather conditions), 166km of cycling, 5km of mountain running and 64km of road and trail running. It is the ultimate 24 hour test of endurance.
We documented Gavin Harris’s epic journey on foot and saddle around the wilds of Donegal in hostile weather conditions. A short documentary is currently in production.
